Lead Service Line Inventory Continues!!
FOR PROPERTIES WITH PIPE MATERIAL THAT ARE STILL UNKNOWN!!
Free inspections will be starting this week! The goal is to identify the water service pipe material for those properties that are still unknown.
Staff from Bolton & Menk went from door to door on Wednesday August 20th. The City is working to further its inventory of all service lines within the water system. The goal of the inventory is to identify the material type of each service line and create an action plan for removing all lead service lines in the future.
The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at (320) 453-5251. To complete the service line inventory our system performed record review, community outreach, and/or visual inspections. As of October 16, 2024, our inventory contains 1 lead, 13 galvanized requiring replacement, 244 unknown material, and 207 non-lead service lines.
